ESLA, established in 1990, provides a full range of landscape architectural, urban design and environmental planning services. Specializing in public parks, campus planning and design, streetscapes, waterfront design, master planned communities, artist collaborations and historic/ cultural landscapes, the firm has created a number of successful, award-winning and published projects. ESLA’s clients include the cities of Boston, Cambridge and Salem, MA, the National Park Service as well as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Elena Saporta holds a Master’s of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied under Ian McHarg. Prior to establishing her practice, Ms. Saporta worked on many prominent projects as resident landscape architect for the firms of Benjamin Thompson & Associates, and of Graham Gund Architects, both of Cambridge, MA. She also held the position of urban designer at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority and worked as landscape architect and planner for the internationally renowned firm of EDAW, Inc, in both their Atlanta and Washington DC offices.
